Visa Run in Singapore
Indonesia Visa Run in Singapore
If you live in Indonesia and need to get your visa in Singapore
here’s a handy guide as to how to do it.
One of the biggest hassles when applying for a visa (Social,
Business, KITAS) is the time it takes to process. This can be as long as 3
working days. On top of that when you add in weekends and the many national
holidays (Indonesian consulate in Singapore will be closed on these occasions)
you could wait for a week.
The way around much of this is to use a consultant. One of
the best is Ismail Hamdan who operates out of a second floor office in Singapore
Shopping Center located across the street from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station.
To get your Indonesian Social or Business visa processed the
same day you’ll need a valid passport, a color photo, a sponsorship letter from
Indonesia and the fee which in $170 Singapore dollars. This fee includes Mr. Hamdan’s
fee.
The Indonesian consulate in Singapore closes at 12 midday.
To be safe you need to get to Mr. Hamdan’s
office before 11am. Passports will be returned around 4-5pm, sometimes a bit
later due to back-ups. The great thing is there is never any hassle, you get
your passport back the same day and you don’t have to waster your day hanging
around the Indonesian embassy.
BTW Mr. Hamdan has a couple of hottie Malay girls working in his office. Naisssssah!!!!!

How to meet girls in Singapore
Meeting girls in Singapore is relatively easy. For one thing there are a million of them. Just take a stroll down Orchard Rd. on a sunny day and check out the high percentage of great looking girls dressed to kill.
So how do we meet them? Well Singaporeans while relaxed and helpful are not overly aggressive when it comes to dating. Likelihood is a hot Singapore girl has never had a man compliment her, never mind a foreign man compliment her. Feel free to approach a lady and in an 'over your shoulder' kind of way say "I want to say how beautiful your dress is." Just make it casual and you can real this out 50 times a day. You won't have to actually as you'll hit PAYOUT long before that.
Happy hunting.

Arriving in Singapore
Arriving in Singapore for the first time is not a stressful experience. The airport staff speak English, are not corrupt, are helpful and the palce is clean, safe and well laid out.
After you clear immigration go downstairs to the luggage carousels. You pass money changers there if you need them.
After clearing Customs you'll want to head for Terminal 2, the location of the MRT train for downtown. Look for signs and ask if you are not sure where to go. At the MRT the best bet is to buy a trel card for around S$12 that will enable you to travel on the MRT simply by tapping the card on the entry barriers. It barcode tab records how much credit you have. These can be refilled.
The main traveller / backpacker areas with guest houses / hostels are in and around Little India, Bugis, Chinatown, Geylang and other areas, all easily assessible using the MRT.

Universal Studios Singapore
The Jakarta Post, Jakarta | Headlines | Fri, 06/22/2012 9:30 AM
Singapore, the sixth most popular tourist destination in Asia
Pacific, is getting ready to wow customers in Indonesia, its largest
market, a Singapore Tourism Board (STB) executive said on Thursday. “This June, there will be the Sesame Street Theme Park Ride in Universal Studios and Gardens by the Bay, located in Marina Bay,” STB conventions, meetings, exhibitions and conferences executive director Jeannie Lim said during a press conference in Jakarta.
Located on 101 hectares, the Gardens by the Bay will showcase various themed gardens and plants from around the world in cooled conservatories, while the Marine Life Aquarium in Resort World Sentosa would soon be launched, Lim said.
For shopping lovers, the Great Singapore Sale will be held until July 22.
Last year, 2.59 million Indonesians visited Singapore, with most searching for discounts in shopping malls or visiting theme parks.
In the last 10 years, Indonesia has become the leading source of tourists for Singapore.
This trend has persisted, given that Indonesian were easily charmed by up-to-date sites, said Budi Tirtawisata. the CEO of Panorama, a tourism, transportation and hospitality company.
Affordable flights were the key factor behind Indonesians’ decisions to spend their holidays in the city-state.
“Flight tickets [from Jakarta] to Makassar, South Sulawesi cost US$400, much more expensive than flying to Singapore for only $150,” he said.
In fact, Singapore is not only prepared to welcome large numbers of tourists arriving by plane, but also by cruise ship.
Aiming to establish the country as Asia’s cruise hub, the nation just opened Marina Bay Cruise Centre, to supplement HarbourFront.
The new $500 million terminal is designed to cater to bigger ships than the existing terminal.
“Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia, has many islands which can accommodate a growth in the cruise business,” Jeannie added.
This year, Singapore has targeted attracting 14 million foreign tourists, up 6 percent from 13.2 million tourists last year.
The STB said that the target was very achievable, given the trajectory of the Asia-Pacific region was recorded 4 to 6 percent annual growth in the tourism sector, higher than the international growth rate of 3 to 4 percent, the UN World Tourism Organization (UNTWO) said.
According to the latest UNTWO’s world tourism rankings, Singapore was ranked the sixth most
popular destination in the Asia-Pacific region, ahead of South Korea (7) and Indonesia (8), but behind Macau (5), Thailand (4), Hong Kong (3).
Atthe same event, the STB officially invited Tirtawisata and Marc Steinmeyer, the president director of Tauzia hotel management, to be Indonesia’s representatives at the Asia Travel Leaders Summit in Singapore on Oct. 16.
The closed meeting is a key event of Asia’s largest tourism festival, Travel Rave.
“The summit will be a good opportunity to highlight Indonesia’s tourism potential and investment opportunities in the tourism realm” said Steinmeyer, whose company manages several hotel brands, namely Préférence, Worldhotels, Harris hotels and Pop! hotels.
