 The Triathlon Association of Singapore presents the OSIM Singapore Triathlon, held in the area around East Coast Park. Participants swim 1.5km in the open sea, switch to a bike for a 40km cycle ride, then complete a gruelling 10km run.

The Singapore Cable Car provides an aerial link from Mount Faber on the main island of Singapore to the resort island of Sentosa across the Keppel Harbour. Opened on 15 February 1974, it was the first aerial ropeway system in the world to span a harbour

Bukit Timah - great place to get away from the city in Singapore

Those looking for a fresh-air escape in Singapore should head to Bukit Timah, the forested hill adjacent to the large water catchment areas in central Singapore.



Bukit Timah is open everyday from 6am-7pm and is free. There are several hiking trails across the 3,000+ hectare site. Bukit Timah  is known for its amazing array of flora and fauna. The English naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace stated that in his explorations of the far east he had never seen a place that could equal the bio-diversity of Bukit Timah.

Remember to bring comfortable footwear and plenty of water. Bukit Timah is around 12km from downtown. Take bus 117 from Bugis area (ask locals to direct you to the bus stop) price $1.40.
